You Can Now Edit Labels on Visual Task Boards

Visual Task Boards (VTB) in ServiceNow allow you to turn lists into Kanban-like task boards. If you are currently using VTB’s in ServiceNow, you’ll be pleased to hear that with this release, you can now edit the label names on the task board. (STRY0030695)

 

Networking Services Now Has a Web Proxy Request Option

We added a Web Proxy Request option to the Networking Services and SOM-Networking Service service requests. A web proxy request triggers the creation of two tasks, one for ITS-Security and the other for IP-Services. (STRY0030701)

 

Choosing Buildings on Automatic Door Lock & Unlock Schedule Service Requests

The Automatic Door Lock & Unlock Schedule service request has a field for the requester to choose the building that the request is for. Prior to this release, the building that a requester chose would sometimes not be added to the ticket. As a workaround, some requesters were adding the building information to the Requested Description field. With this release, the issue has been fixed. (STRY0030697)

 

New Incident Form View for RESNET Employees

We created a new incident form view that is available for RESNET employees. This new form contains all the fields that are on the current Incident form, plus a field for choosing the caller’s contact preference and a field asking if it’s an Ad Hoc request. (STRY0030836)

 

It’s Easier to Find Preferred Contact Method and Details on Service Requests

The incident form already has fields for Preferred Contact Method and Preferred Contact Method Details. With this release, those fields are now shown at the SCTASK level on service requests. This change makes it quicker and easier for fulfillers to find contact information and creates consistency between the two forms. (STRY0030368)

 

There’s a New Sakai Gradebook Service Request

We created a new Sakai Gradebook catalog item. With this new service, requesters can get help with setting up gradebooks, entering grades, and uploading grades with a spreadsheet. Requesters can also ask for assistance with issues like grades not calculating properly, students not showing up in the gradebook, and students not being able to view their grades. (STRY0030834)

 

There’s a New Data Center Operations Service Request

There’s a new Data Center Operations catalog item. Requesters can use it to ask for hardware to be added, changed, or decommissioned in one of the data centers. (STRY0030588)
